House
Councils give a forum for pupils to express their views
on issues affecting their life at school. The House Councils
inform Senior Management about the issues affecting pupils
and allow them to act as appropriate. Feedback is always
given by SMT.
There are four House Councils - Annan, Dryfe, Kirtle and
Milk. These are made up of Head of House, Pupil Support
teachers and two representatives from each of the classes
in S1 to S5. |

Lockerbie
Tourism
A group of S4 Administration students were faces with a
challenge to create a presentation based on tourism in Lockerbie.
Pupils worked together to create a PowerPoint presentation
and researched things to do and see in Lockerbie. Items
covered in the presentation ranged from the golf course
to the ice rink, from accommodation to many of the small
businesses that exist in Lockerbie.
Ian McLatchie very kindly agreed to judge the presentations.
He found this a very difficult task as the PowerPoints were
of excellent quality and the pupils had rehearsed their
presentations very well. He was very pleased with each group
but had to make a decision on the overall winners. The prize
of a HMV voucher and certificate went to Callum Harkness,
russell Mundell, Daniel Rogerson and Gemma Anson. Ian was
also very impressed with Lynsey Turpie who was awarded a
certificate for being the best speaker from the whole class.
Miss Galligan and her S4 Administration class would like
to thank Ian McLatchie very much for coming in to judge
the presentations.

Under 13 Football
Lockerbie Academy 9 v 2 St Joseph's College
Scorers: Luke Hammond (3), Deans Smith (3), Zak Caldwell,
Sean Dunbar and Kyran Jackson
This was a fine start to the season for the Under 13 team.
After falling a goal behind after a corner, Lockerbie's
midfield started to control the game with powerful running
and passing by Luke Hammond, Levi Carrick, Zak Caldwell
and Dean Smith.
By half time Lockerbie had moved 3-1 ahead with the best
goal from Kyran Jackson - a 30 yard rocket. In the second
half despite the best efforts of the St Joseph's goalkeeper
chances came frequently and the team ran out comfortable
winners.
All substitutes were used and man of the match was captain
- Danny Graham.
Team: McGinley, C Graham, D Graham, Hogg, Earl, Caldwell,
Hammond, Carrick, Smith, Dunbar, Jackson
Subs: Scott, Burgess,
