Under-14 Football

Congratulations go to the Under-14 Football Team. They followed up last years amazing success in winning the Scottish Cup by retaining the Regional League championship. The team defeated Wallace Hall Academy 2-0 in their last match to remain undefeated throughout the season.

Match report:

Lockerbie Academy 2 v 0 Wallace Hall Academy

In the best performance of the season they defeated a strong team from Wallace Hall Academy 2-0 to clinch the title by 5 points.

Two first half goals by captain, Kieron McCrudden, sealed the win, but Lockerbie’s overall play could have led to a much more convincing win – with Dean Smith, Sean Dunbar and Eddie Booth all hitting woodwork.

Lockerbie’s defence was also solid and reliable with Robbie Carter having his best game for the school in goals and Danny Graham and Kyron Jackson and Connor Graham in excellent form.

In midfield Levi Carrick, Zac Lockerbie and Dayne Earl won the midfield battle, with Dayne having to replace the injured Ross Burgess.

The boys can now enjoy a rest from school’s football as many were playing through a number of injuries.

Well done boys!
