Europe Day
In the run up to
Europe Day on Saturday 9 May, a number of activities were organized
in the school to mark the occasion. A group of S5 pupils, namely
Natasha Dinwoodie, Hayley Jardine, Joanna Morris and Rebecca Porteous,
all from 5B, were involved in broadcasting facts about Europe
on the tannoy each morning. Pupils in S1 had the opportunity to
take part in a Euro Quiz organized by the Modern Languages Faculty.
Pupils also had the opportunity to sample a French breakfast and
the menu at the school canteen had a European theme with Bratwurst
and Kartoffelsalat for lunch. Our thanks go to all the staff and
pupils involved in these events and we hope that pupils know more
about Europe as a result.
S6 Charities Pet Walk
Well done to the
pupils and staff who took part in last Sunday’s Pet Walk in aid
of the S6 Charities – the SSPCA. This week all monies will be
counted and cheques will be passed on to representatives of SAMH
and SSPCA at the S6 Valediction ceremony yesterday.
