The Sandra Marshall Memorial Trophy Winner 2010

The Modern Languages Faculty is delighted to announce that the winner of the Sandra Marshall Memorial Trophy for 2010 is Becky Graham 1GK. Congratulations Becky! All of the judges were blown away by her Dossier. It definitely had the ‘wow factor’ and is one of the best entries we have ever had. It is an outstanding project and a superb record of her first year of French here at the Academy.

We are also pleased to announce that second place goes to Stephanie Bain 1BD. Congratulations Stephanie. Your dossier was full of creative ideas. Third place goes to Morven Beattie 1CK . Well done to you Morven. Your Dossier showed lots of flair. Bravo!

New School Opens

After two and a half years of looking at the new school slowly but surely growing and developing on the old playing fields, pupils finally entered the school last Friday after staff had completed the flit over the previous few days.

The reaction was one of exhilaration and interest – truly a school of great quality and potential. On Friday and Monday pupils were given an induction programme – moving about the school seeing where all the facilities and departments were and enjoying Praise Assemblies and Induction meetings.

The official opening of the school will be on Monday 21 June, and there are plans to have an Open Day for the Community on Sunday 27 June.
