News from Lockerbie Academy - Thursday 18 June 2009

Celebration of Achievement

On Wednesday 10 June 2009 the eighth Celebration of Achievement was held in Lockerbie Academy Assembly. To a packed audience the MC for the evening was Mr Turner ably assisted by Mrs Bartlett and Head Boy, Taylor Edwards, and Head Girl, Mairi Aitken. The Principal Guest was Davie Rae, former pupil of Hightae Primary and Lockerbie Academy, and Chairman of Queen of the South FC. In the traditional manner the guests of honour were all piped in by Calum Moffat of sixth year.

The first set of awards was presented to S4 pupils, although a large number had already received endeavour awards at an earlier event.
