Dora Lewis, accompanied by Mrs Lewis, then played a selection
of Fiddle Tunes and four students Liam Scott, Ailstair Inglis
Joanna Morris and Hayley Jardine presented a short film
“Living in Lockerbie” a response to Prof Chris Harvie MSP.
This was a very forthright response from Lockerbie students
responding bluntly to the “Lockerbie is a dump” headline.

Finally after these awards Lauren Flynn and Graeme Tait,
this year’s Head Girl and Head Boy respectively, gave
the vote of thanks.
The
audience then departed for photographs, drinks and
a magnificent buffet to the sound of the Lockerbie
Academy Fiddle Club, taking the opportunity to discuss
the event with friends, family and staff.
Another
memorable night for Lockerbie Academy and its pupils,
parents, staff and supporters, with the advice of
Fiona Armstrong to the fore – “prosecute each day
with vigour” and “carpe diem” (sieze the day).
