Stock Market Challenge 2010

On Wednesday 20 January five S3 pupils travelled to Glasgow to take part in the 2010 Stock Market Challenge Event. The event, which is sponsored by Careers Scotland and BNP Paribas Securities Services, gives pupils an opportunity to take part on the role of stockbrokers buying and selling shares and foreign exchange on a live trading floor in competition with 25 other schools.

All five pupils did remarkably well, finishing at the end of trading with a portfolio worth £35,000. So well done to the Academy team members; Suzanne Gordon, Christopher Gray, Jay Bryson, Danielle Beattie and Gemma Waugh. You did the school proud!
