Stock Market Challenge 2009

On Thursday 22 January five S3 Business Management pupils travelled to Glasgow to take part in the 2009 Stock Market Challenge Event. The event, which was sponsored by Careers Scotland and BNP Paribas Securities Services, gave the pupils an opportunity to take on the role of stockbrokers buying and selling shares and foreign exchange on a live trading floor in competition with 24 other schools. All five pupils did remarkably well, finishing at the end of trading with a portfolio worth £25,200.
